Senior executives from Chifeng Gold paid a visit to Golden Star Wassa Ltd (GSWL) from 27th – 30th October 2024. The executive team was led by Chairman Wang Jianhua and included Madam Lydia Yang President, Mr. Mario Wong Chief Financial Officer, Madam Li Jinyang Shareholder and Mr. Zhao Zhiwei Translator. The visit focused on GSWL’s ongoing performance, growth potential, and commitment to safety standards. The agenda of the visit included a thorough review of Q3 and year-to-date (YTD) Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) performance metrics, alongside physical and financial reports. This comprehensive analysis served as a foundation for understanding current standing and providing projections for the remainder of the year. The Executives and Wassa leadership highlighted the importance of operational excellence and were encouraged by GSWL’s ongoing commitment to ensure a safe, secure work environment for all employees.

A major focus was on preparing for the future through discussions surrounding the 2025 budget and Life of Mine (LOM) planning. These sessions included an in-depth look at upcoming capital requirements, with particular emphasis on 2025 capital drilling needs. Chifeng's commitment to capital investment in growth projects supports its vision of strengthening subsidiary assets, enhancing resource potential, and ultimately positioning the company for substantial long-term success.

Supply chain efficiencies were also reviewed where executives explored ways to optimize resource allocation, further improving supply chain stability in response to global challenges.
